I planted this vine 2 years ago this spring and it hasn't bloomed yet. It has been mulched, fertilized, and watered (not overly). How can I encourage blooming. It is growing and trailing up the front porch railing at a moderate pace. I live in Northern Alabama and have grown this vine successfully in the past with masses of blooms.

Mine didn't bloom well until this year and it has been growing prolifically for four years. Does yours get a good amount of sun?
I am actually going to cut it WAY BACK after it's done blooming so I can paint the post it is growing on.
Sun could be a possibility, but it could be you just need to give it a little time. There's a saying that holds true for some plants "first year they sleep, second year they creep, third year they leap". Once plants get to the leaping stage that's when you'll usually start to see them blooming well too assuming other conditions like sun are right.
