Brunfelsia Calycina leaf discoloured and falling

Does anyone know why my Brunfelsia Calycina's leaves are going dark brown and falling. It seems to be growing new leaves, but I am worried that they will go the same way. Is it normal of these plants to go through a leaf fall process?

My Brunfelsia has the same problem but I don't seem to be able to find a reply to Llanito's query (March 2012). Does anyone know why the leaves are browning and dropping and how to treat it?

It would help if you could post some pictures of your plant and talk a little more about the conditions it's growing in (how much sun/shade, how are you watering, fertilizing, how hot does it get where you are, etc)
