Some good news for a change. My niece is pregnant! Due in early November. Teasing my bro for being a grandpa! But nice when you are still young enough to really enjoy them. He is 52. My niece is only 22. Kind of young I think, but we are all happy anyway. Her hubby is a real nice guy.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Need advice. My van lease is coming up soon. Over a year ago, I had a bottle of wine break on the cargo area. Did my best to get it quickly, but there is a permanent stain. What is the best way to get it out??

Thomaston, CT

Good news, Great Uncle! I've always used straight club soda to get out wine stains, but when the stain was fresh....don't know about an old stain.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ok JoAnn.. you have to set the picasa page to either public or anyone with a link and then the copy link location came back.. it is now set that you can view it.. I think

Has anyone seen this video yet of the troop of gorillas visiting a camp? That guy who had the close encounter with them looked like he was getting the thrill of a lifetime.

Thoughts and prayers for your MIL, Victor, and your father, Allison, and your Mom, too, Marilyn.

Victor, that manta is huge!

Congrats to your niece, Victor! 22 is not too young. At least she's not in her teens. When you think about it, though, back in the old days, like during pioneer times, people got married and had kids a lot younger than they do now. But then they didn't live as long, either, and kids matured a lot sooner than they do now.

Guess we're no different from flies!

Just popped in here to leave this.I was a bit skeptical when the Invisible Children began to appear on the news. I dont doubt their intent is well meant and KONA should be dealt with but this article advises caution when contrubuting to online charities.

3:51 am I swore a bomb went off. 3 young guys blew up the neighbors mailbox and got caught.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm glad they got caught! Hope that puts a stop to the dangerous "Pranks."

Isnt the mail a feloney

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Sherrie - from Answers.com:

Blowing up a mailbox is a felony anywhere, unless it is within 500 miles of a ranch that you own and it is your own. The reason it is illegal is simple, it is basically like reading someone elses mail, it is against the law but blowing it up? Now that's a felony right there.

:)

Thomaston, CT

Allison, the garden trip looked like fun...yeah, that's a strange impatiens! Thanks Karen, for the well wishes for Mom....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Federal offense.

Found out the kicker - they used a 1/4 stick of dynamite.. Thats illegal.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I asked the atlock guy ... He said it will fill out with heat and light .. Mine is not as tall but leggy
