What do I use now on my apple trees to stave off those pesky little worms in all my apples? Seems the squirrels don't mind them, but I do. How often do I spray & with what, please.

Bonide makes a wonderful "All Seasons" horticultural spray oil that can be sprayed on fruit trees ... well, during all seasons. There's also an annual tree and shrub insect control spray available by Bonide. You can get some of the label information online, but the info is not complete as compared to the actual product label on a 'real' bottle.
We sell both of these where I work, but we sell the "All Seasons" more than anything. I hope this helps!

The All Seasons Oil is excellent, and I use it every year. I actually go to a friend's house who has an apple tree who was getting those disgusting worms (made my skin crawl) and I started spraying every year - problem gone! There is a really cool one that attaches to your garden hose.

The only thing to be aware of is that you must spray when temperatures are going to go no lower that 40 degrees for 24 hours.

Is that correct, speediebean? And are you supposed to avoid using it in temperatures over 80 degrees?

Oh, and this is important - keep the spray away from viburnums and smoke bushes. It is toxic to both.

Yes Ma'am, the preferred temperature range, if I remember corrently, is between 50-75 degrees (F), and when the air is calm and still.

I didn't realize it's toxic to viburnums and smoke bushes, thank you for that tip! =)
