Thanks, Jo!

Do any of you barter for things? I saw a former student's watercolor/ink pics and asked if I could buy one (an elephant) for my son who was her classmate. She responded with a proposal. She would not charge for her pic, if we could mat and frame another pic for her that she is donating to a silent auction. She asked if we would just drop $5 or $10 on our price. Of course, DH said we'd drop it 50%.
So, this got me to thinking, if you guys do something like that. Besides with plants or seeds.

I used to barter for everything. I had my entire garage studio wired for an electric kiln and the electritian got 2 lamps and a casserole.I traded a landsacper for digging up 80 year old spireah hedge.

I donate paintings to silent auctions for worthy causes is Cat Rescue and Epilepsy Foundation.

I dont barter for plants or seeds as I have contacts that fill those needs.

Yes, I have bartered. Mostly with my photos.

I loved to barter when I was at Art Festivals. I would leave my brochure with my booth number on it,in the artists booth whose work I wanted. This way they could cruise past my booth and decide if they liked my work or not .no imbarrasing rejections.
I used barter mostly to get xmas gifts for daughters. Jewelry,Leather vests (it was the 80's)
At home a bunch of us used to have " Booze,Cruise Choose" artists trade . I have a fantastic collection of furniture, jewelry, sculpture. Those were the best times.

Bartering is how I ended up married.

Story in Philly about a girl being stalked on fb, her profile was public and he left a note for her at her grandmother's...sounds like he knows her personally...how would a random person know where your grandma lives?

I used to barter for crafts back in the day. Barter for plants now and then. Once traded plants for Spanish lessons, which were very pricey.

I'm hoping spring comes early, but we're getting snow tomorrow, and looks like the rest of the week will be cold. Brrrrr!!!!!
