---There a 'perennial' 'Moon-flower' with blooms as large as the 'Annual' species??

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The Moonflower, Ipomoea alba is a tropical perennial that is grown as an annual in other areas. You can grow them in a large container, cut them back at first frost and bring the container inside, or dig them up and treat them like dahlias for the winter.

I was referring to the 'Climbing-Bush-Type! Or---isn't there such an animal !?? Large(5" white flowers) Grows like a climbing rose---10-15' tall,--10' wide!

Vicksburg, MS(Zone 8a)

I've never heard of a climbing bush type. Mine is a bush type that a friend gave me. I grow it in a large pot on my front porch. The flowers are as you describe--approx. 5 inches, and they smell wonderful. You would have to grow it like moonhowl described since it gets colder up there where you live.

hey Al, I think what you are asking about is Calonyction aculeatum. That is actually the old name for moon vine. Ipomoea alba is currently the accepted name. In the wild, it can reach heights of 15 + feet. (5 to 30 meters) and cover a large area.
