Since I repotted Gardenia and Jasmine, they have gone to drooping yellow and brown leaves. Holly is dang near dead despite me taking all the peppers off her so she could mature more before fruiting again. I dont know what I have done. I was very careful to follow the directions from the book on how to repot and I twisted the peppers off just like it said. Please help me. Holly is a jalepeno. Jasmine is a star jasmine and of course Gardenia is a gardenia.
Please help me save Gardenia and Jasmine
Couple possibilities...one is transplant shock if you disturbed the roots while reporting. Plants will typically recover fine from this as long as that's the only issue. The other possibility is that you're watering them too much now--when you repot something into a larger pot it won't need to be watered as often as it did when it was in the smaller pot. Other possibilities too, posting some pictures might help.
I agree with Ecrane and would be happy with a picture, also consider if you have used the right soil when re-potted, as far as I am aware, all these plants like a slightly acidic soil, the wrong soil would cause the leaves to change colour, have you planted the plant too deep into the new soil, you should plant only to where they were before in the last pot, there will be a mark on the stalks / trunks to show you the top of the soil mark.
Have you set them back in the same position as before, are they even in the right position to get light, draft proof if in doors and away from a heating unit if inside growing.
These are my most common problems when someone has re-potted but as Ecrane has already suggested there could be even more.
Please try give a photo so we can help you properly.
Good luck. WeeNel.
