Still harvesting in Maryland under snow and ice

Annapolis, MD

Last December I covered my garden with thick clear plastic, and today I pulled it back and harvested perky kale, colorful Swiss chard, bok choy, walnut-size broccoli and red lettuce. I cooked up some ground turkey burger with italian seasonings, added onion, celery, black beans, stewed tomatoes with green chilis, black beans and 4 cups of my chopped-up winter harvest. I served it over strands of spaghetti squash. It was absolutely delicious. I'll be starting my indoor seeds in February.

You must really like the black beans, 'cuz you added them twice ;-)

p.s. When will dinner be served?

p.p.s. After I get to be a gazillionaire from selling your recipes, you're not, like, expecting me to pay you royalties or anything, are you?

I'm like SueGee, I had a year round garden this last year. None of this spring garden and fall garden.

That's my goal. Still working towards it, but it is a fun process!
