Thanks all!

Congrats to your DD Celeste!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Debi! And congrats again to the Newlyweds. ^_^
I am also in agreement with BA, those are the most beautiful combination of flowers!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

The flowers were a nice color for winter, they went with what was available, and coordinated with peacock colors.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

They are just lovely!

East Bridgewater, MA

I loved those wedding flowers because I have a half-century love of Monet colors...guilty as charged.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats, Celeste!

Just back from the West Point Open gymnastics competition. Tonight was the finals of the events. Totally dominated by Penn State. They won the team, all-around and every individual event! Was fun.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Wow congrats Celeste and Victor!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee - I had no 'horses in the race', Ronnie. Was just there with my boys to watch. We cheered on Army, who had a few finalists.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Did I mention before that I lost another 5 lbs. as of this past Monday? That's a total of 8 lbs. for me so far. Will weigh in again on Monday night. I might be down more. Hoping....

According to that new zone hardiness map I'm now in zone 6b, rather than 6a. Wish it were zone 7.

Celeste, that story about the woman who was sexually assaulted when she got stuck on the ice reminded me of a story I heard in Nevada when I lived there. This was in the 90s I believe, when a good Samaritan stopped to help out a couple who were supposedly broken down on the side of the highway. The guy was killed. Just awful.

Celeste, for some reason I didn't think the deer story was funny. Maybe cause I know that deer can and will do all those things, and it's quite frightening. I've heard of people being killed by them. If that man had been smart, he would have just gotten himself a fawn in the spring and raised it till it was old enough to slaughter. I'm supposing the story was written as a joke, but it could actually happen.

Congrats to your DD and her team, Celeste!!!!!

Jen, I've been drinking almond milk, and I like it. My condolences to the loss of the 2 cousins on your DH's side. Too bad.

Jo, can't raw milk also be organic? Organic basically means it's produced using no harmful chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, etc. (and maybe even homicides [LOL!])

Congrats to your wife, Bill! Glad you gave her the rock flower arrangement. BTW, I just had a cool idea. I think it would be great to make a rock flower arrangement using crystals. You could get a nice yellow color crystal base, then I think amethyst crystals would look great for the flowers. Can you just imagine it? It would cost you some money, though. Maybe you could make it for Cindy for Christmas. Wish her Happy Birthday for me.

Louise, that's so nice you had such a great visit with Jan23 and her friend. I remember when I got the chance to visit. I really enjoyed it, and hope to be able to come down there to your Florida place again someday. Maybe next year. This year I would like to go to Arizona, though I don't know yet if I can afford it. We'll see. I have a friend who will let me stay with her and her husband, and she'll let me use her husband's truck, too, as he doesn't use it due to the fact that he has Parkinson's disease. I stayed with her for part of the time I was down there last year.

Marilyn, that's too bad that the assisted living place you went to had such bad food. It's really a shame. I deliver meals on wheels to the elderly, and I've sampled some. I'm sure glad I don't have to get it myself. You'd get better at a 2 star restaurant.

Lovely shot of Lindsey and David, Debi! BA is right, the wedding flowers are beautiful.

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

yeaaaahhhhh Karen.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Karen, congrats on your weight loss!!
Sorry you didn't find it funny, I did as I pictured this in my head.
I too know that deer can kill people, and no that was not written as a joke, it really happened.
I think the farmer was trying to warn others not to get these type of brain-farts when it comes to wild animals. :)

Get a lump in my throat when I look at this picture, I am in awe. It seems like just the other day I was washing spankies and driving a 13yr. old to her first Cheering Competetion. Now she is the COACH of her own team....WHERE DID THE YEARS GO?

Pixie.I feel the same way. My GD is getting married when her husband comes back from over seas.Yes they had a civil celemony in Dec.
Last week we( DD#2 ,DD#3 the MOB and the maid of honor ) went to look at wedding dresses.
It dawned on me I could become a great grandmother within the next 5 years or so.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

LOL Victor!

Congrats Karen and keep up the good work.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

My son is 25, but when I saw the best man at the wedding, who is just 6 months younger, I couldn't believe he was 25! He was little Matt.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Nice

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Love the dress. Congrats, I hope to see my girlies get married someday!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

We're not ready for wedding bells yet in our house! DD brought her latest bf to meet us. They look like they're in love. It may hit our pocketbook if she wants a more local college.

Nice pic though. And I see why she chose the dress.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I understand where you are comming from.
I have 4 daughters all in 5 years. The first 3 were married a year apart. No big weddings here and the ones that wanted a college education found their own way.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, everyone.

Jo, your GD looks beautiful in that dress. She's going to be stunning at the wedding.

Hi Everyone! Celeste, I didn't have enough time to read the deer thing, but having read the responses, I gave it a try. Very well written. I know it was real and got a good chuckle out of it. That man is lucky to be alive. Congrats to your daughter and her team.

Congrats Karen on the weight loss. May your focus stay strong during the slow times and I hope you lose all you want and keep it off.

Victor, I would have loved to see that gymnastics competition.

Congrats debi on your son's marriage. Great photo!

Congrats Bill on your wife's achievement!!!

I just spent a brief few days in New Mexico visiting family. My 81 year old father had his first art show - a solo! He had at least 40 paintings in it. I'll post a few pics as soon as I upload them from my camera.

Hugs to everyone.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

ohhhhh goodie I cant wait to see the paintings.

East Bridgewater, MA

Sofonisba, looking forward to pics of your dad's artwork.

I hope I'm still creative at age 81.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)
