I recently moved this plant away from the crowded conditions under the shade screen and into a pot of its own. This AM while I was taking general pics of my back yard I saw a flower at the base of the Aspidistra. What a shock to me. Here are some shots of the flower, 3 buds and the base of the plant. Xuling

When do they usually bloom? I had no idea they did bloom. We have had an odd winter here wioth virtually no rain and some stretches of very cold (for here) weather (down to 25 for 2 days at a time). Anyway I am fascinated by these flowers and buds. Xuling
