Beautiful buntings, gardenpom. Those poor birds, Nanny. We had fierce winds too. Because we are not sheltered in any way, a hanging feeder like that would not last long. We have large tubes that will do ok when filled and even those gave our little Goldfinches a ride.
A Northern Shrike came again and this time it caught something. Hope it was a house sparrow, but do not know. This one's face looks kind of dirty, but it will have to wait for a bath. It's too cold!
Daily piccies vol 427
Elphaba, the only thing I am Queen of is Bumbling! Nice shots, I love the shaking House Finch and the hiding Hawk.
Nanny, cold and windy here today too. Love the wind doos on the swinging tray birds. Nice shot.
Gorgeous cardinal ! Loved all the other shots too, especially the hawk in hiding. Very windy here today. Snowing too.
Neat to see the Shrike Chilly!

Elphaba nice shot of the Red-bellied WP.
Countrymom, your poor Doves, look cold. Mine hangs on the heated waterbowl here, when it's too cold out.
I have not seen very many birds, today. I was away for four days and the bird have ran out of feed and left. I'm sure they'll be back soon though. This photo of a female Hairy WP was taken last week.
