It was cool and a ton of people where there. It used to be a grain processing place. The city wants to develope the area with a park and other stuff.

Congrats to your son Victor!

Congrats for your son's win, Victor

Don't ya just LOVE a good massage

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, all.

I LOVE massages. A good masseur/masseuse is like gold. With my lower back problems, I could go for one every day.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I have trouble finding someone who gives a hard enough massage.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

me too debi

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

The first time I went to this masseuse, I hurt (good) for 3 days. Today I'm sore some, so I think she toned it down a little. She really worked out some knots. I could hear/feel all kinds of popping noises. I only did a half hour and it went by too quickly.

We have become a very spoiled country.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I hate wimpy massages.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I don't like massages. :(

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

The last one I had, she was pressing so hard I couldn't breathe and she asked me a question I couldn't answer her...WORST massage I ever had

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Anyone heard from Weeze? Venu209

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My witchazel is starting to bloom.Pix were awful, macro isnt the greatest.Take my word for it.

Thomaston, CT

Congrats to Little Victor......hope he's enjoying the sport.....Jumper, that looked like fun! Jo, what color is your witch hazel?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks - he is.

I think Weeze has some family stuff going on.

I had a 'deep tissue' massage when we went away last spring. Hated it. She dug her elbows into me so deeply. Never felt any loosening or relaxing of muscles. It was as if she was trying to massage my internal organs and skeleton. I hurt for about three days afterward.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Saw the holiday train show at the NYBG today. Great, as usual. Will post pics.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks.....would love to see it in person some day....

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Yikes...my GD Sophie was diagnosed with "Scarlet Fever" haven't heard anyone having that for quite some time. She started out with what we thought was the stomach bug. My DIL saw a rash last night that was worse this morning. Got her to the docs right away and they started antibiotics. Very contagious so I guess her sister will be next ):

Thomaston, CT

It's from strep throat.....had it when I was a child.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I texted Weeze today.. let you know if I hear back from her

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hooray for little Victor!
Hope Sophie is well soon! Scarey!
Very cool, Lucy!
Good for you, Bill! Lucky Cindy to have you! (see, I can be serious too once in awhile!)
Gotta stop now...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, you've used up your quota of exclamation marks, Louise! ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

One of my son's teammates was slammed down at yesterday's match. His wrist swelled up immediately. I was convinced it was fractured. Sure enough - fractured radius. Poor kid. Cannot write. Wife was not happy to hear this.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

:(

Thomaston, CT

It is a contact sport! Louise, you & I write the way we speak.....have to have lots of exclamation marks.....must be the teacher in us......son Garret has been called in for 4 subbing days this week.....he's getting the Baptism by Fire.....haven't heard him say he loves it, but haven't heard him say he hates it....not sure this is the career for him....I feel his wife is pushing him in that direction.......wish Doug was around to advise him....Garret listened more to his Dad.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

that 1 extra m&m pushed me over the edge, now I have heartburn...NUTS

South Hamilton, MA

There ought to be a coach's meeting on how to deal with swlamming. Too much watching pro wrestling, which is fake for younger kids. Instruction needed.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Today's opposing coach was a lunatic! Screaming like a drill sergeant. He would get within a few feet of the kids. I already emailed a complaint. Ludicrous. Nice example for the kids.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Ronnie, I hope Sophie will get better soon. Sounds serious.

Victor, that's too bad about your son's teammate. What a bummer.

I lost 4.4 lbs. this week on Weight Watchers. I'm so thrilled! I thought maybe I'd lost 1 or 2 lbs. This is awesome! Very empowering. I feel like I can do this. It's not easy, but I'm feeling good about it.

Karen

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

YAY you go Karen!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Way to go, Karen! Set your mind to it and you can do anything. Keep up the good work!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Victor. My short term goals for now are to lose 15-20 lbs. by the end of March, and another 15-20 lbs. by July. I want to have more energy for my gardening, and anything else I want to do.

Karen

East Bridgewater, MA

Yes, losing weight is a challenge...I get good results cutting back on carbs, and eating 4-5 bites of green stuff.

I keep a jar of all-natural peanut butter (no sugar is added) in the fridge, and smear a spoon of it on anything neutral, and the peanut butter somehow defeats the munchies/cravings.

(Plus, the huge glass of water consumed with the peanut butter is a good thing!)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good for you Karen!!!.. just have to remember in a few weeks when you only loose a half a pound or nothing not to get discouraged... it happens to everyone... then the week after that you will loose a few again.. the first month of a diet is always rewarding though!!!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Karen, you are an inspiration! I'm trying to lose weight too. I'm trying to exercise more. Forget what it does for the metabolism, i just make better food choices when i exercise.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

good for you karen

Thomaston, CT

Yay, Karen! I know what you mean about energy for gardening...that's important! BA, you're right about the peanut butter....I buy Teddie's which has no sugar...just ground peanuts....and that stops the cravings. Unless I buy potato chips & have them in the house!

East Bridgewater, MA

Potato chips !!! Oh-mi-gosh !!! My ruination!

An A-list actress who lost a lot of weight said to reach for dill pickle chips in the fridge...they may be high in sodium, but virtually zero in calories.
