I have a Nandina that I cut to about 6 inches above the ground last March. The tallest part was 10 foot tall, and had a lot of berries but not much foliage in the lower portions. There are a number of new plants that have been growing for a year or so. All of the new plants have the berries, but, the main plant that I cut back has no berries this year.
I have three questions:
1) What is the best time of the year to cut back?
2) When can I transplant to another area?
3) Why did the main plant only get to about 7 1/2 feet and did not get any berries?
Thank you for your help,
