My Mom's kitchen used to be that avacado green!

Yep, Linda my DM had a avacado green fridge.....it was close to 30 years old...until about 1990 or so.

Called Greg for something else and he said he was driving home with Kyle (birthday today) and just got his drivers permit..

You've all been so kind over the years watching him grow and overcoming some difficulties but growing as a young man he's made us proud..

I can't wait to see him tonight as he will be beside himself..

Oh Betty, such great news! He will be floating on air! Now the fun begins. He has ridden/driven so much sporting equipment....he is a very safety conscious young man....will do fine.

Thea, I have to tell you....it was SO cute. Our UPS man came to the door, and I answered it without my walker.....he saw I was walking and was so happy, he gave me a hug!

Techician told me that all the viles of blook only amount to same as if I gave blood at a clinic so no worried there. On my way to work I picked up timmies and a donut so not hungry anymore.

Debbie, a lot of the swap gifts I send I'd gladly post to myselt seeing as it's usually something I'd really like.

Today it's Raining again, poured all night long...This weather is just sooo weird! But like you said Betty, Let it snow, let it snow...Christmas eve.
Oh yeah, we finally got the lights on the house it looks so pretty...Have to dig out my Santa and the garland and will be finished! And our tree needs to get put up, it still on the deck!

We had the avocado green refrigerator, yellow stove top, yellow linoleum in the kitchen, and yellow shag carpet throughout the rest of the house. Don't ask me what cursed my mom to getting a avocado green refrigerator when the rest of the house was sunflower yellow but whatever.

Judy, didn't I at some time bring you a 4' Victorian wood santa, lights in the wreath??? is that the santa you say is out..mine stands at the staircase into the house to welcome guests..fun having the light on the house..When Aunt Muriel arrived last night she said my lights made her dizzy, infact, she said she even heard Christmas carols...I had turned the music down low..she thought she was imagining it..lol

We removed the pink tiles from down stairs bathroom here in 1990....they were the fake linoleum type glued to the wall. Ewwwww!!

I hope work went well today. I have been cooking non-stop and am a bit overwhelmed with the mess I made. lol

Started off to make a simple meatloaf, ended up doing half pork/half beef, added the normal stuff....then some mushrooms and beef gravy. My 8X8 pan is now a 9X13 and enough for the neighhood.

I also made some twice baked potatos....have never made them before. SO, will see how that goes....broccoli is steaming now...so should be ready to eat in about 10 mintues.

When the cold weather hits, or threatens, you get more energy to put more poundage on, to last you through the cold season. Some of us are in cold season all year round - like me, for instance - loads of blubber LOL

OH Susan, bite your tongue...I do not need any more poundage! Already get chewed out by the docs. I have lost 27 since surgery...managed to keep about 17 of that off.

Lets see...3 days drive for me. Hmmm, I can do it in 1 1/2....I rode with Crissy! haha!

Back from the doctor and I won't be having surgery before the new year. I guess I'm going to need at least one more test - he is concerned about why the bile duct has enlarged. Is there a blockage? -is there a mass of some kind? So I'll have another one (this time it's aMRCP) next Wed and then we will consult with the dr again on the 28th. I guess if there don't appear to be any complications then I will have the surgery here (Hospital about 20 minutes away) but if there are any signs that my breathing may be comprimised, I will have the surgery at Dartmouth which is about 1.5 hours away and is equipped to handle any emergency that may arise. So I wait some more!!!!!
Off to have some dinner........

Oh Barb, another test. Well, one step closer to answers...and at least you will be on your feet for the Holidays. Prayers for a good outcome. That was what I had in my bile duct, stones and sludge backed up big time. It was so strange, after I had that cleaned and gallbladder removed...I awoke from surgery starving to death for a steak.

Thanks for the update Barb..your doctor seems to have a good handle on things, being cautious..tells me you are finished with your sewing and are relaxing now...at least now you can make plans for Christmas festivities.

Heavy rain on my way home, foggy! Have all the lights on outside..sure doesn't look as pretty as when it's snowing..imagine saying such a thing.

Lol Debbie, don't t honk we shall ever forget our visit with Crissy in Memphis..sure wish you were feeling better,,I've the week between Christmas and new years,, we could road trip!

Well, I'm waiting for my DH to come home to discuss my going to see my family between Christmas & New Year (Dec 27 to 30th, to be exact). There's ONE flight during the holidays, and if I don't get it now, I won't be able to go. Free, with Airmiles, and just pay taxes of $170.36 total. We can manage that - it will be tight, but I haven't seen my mom in 2 years........ or any of the rest of the family for that matter! I miss my Mom, my DD, 3 sisters, and brother. I might even get to see my grandson...........

oh geeze - the box for my buddy has been in the US for 2 1/2 days (8:23am Monday) and still NO change of information.

Well, I go to Winnipeg on the 27th (6:30 am) and return to Calgary on the 30th (also 6:30 am)!!!!
I called my daughter, mom, and 2 sisters, and Echo, and another 2 friends of mine! I'm so excited!!!!!
