Victoria Harbour, ON

just a sec....Debbie be back with an update lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

OK, booked off Wednesday so I can go to the hospital for my tests. Suzanne wrote everything down about the bite I had in May..all symptons..she wrote what I should ask etc. Call specialist to find out they are closed this week..oh oh, he's teaching at McMaster University! Recorder says if I have additonal symptoms go to emergency..

Will go for what he has scheduled and then will deal with other issues after.

Debbie, I tried...no coming over this side of the border to give me the whatfor

Lyndonville, NY

Oh Betty, you better believe I will be coming over that border!!!

AND....if I can't drive...Shane can.

Just passed his drivers test. Oh lord.

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG how wonderful..bet he's flying high..now that is not his learner permit correct..he can drive anywhere now??? Tell Shane congratulations..wow, no more babies Debbie..

Debbie, you really should ask Santa for passport or enhanced drivers permit..think that is what Barb/Norm got, the enhanced permit

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, not learners...he has had that for 2 years. He was told right from the bat, if you want your license...you have to pay HALF of your portion of insurance...and he said OK. We did this with all the girls too....it worked pretty good. IF they don't have the money for a month...they don't drive that month (but we pay coverage). Amazing how fast they learn to save.

Betty, I have asked several times...have the paperwork...just need the finances. WHICH...holding breath...come January should be much better. Paul will start getting supplemental retirement check from his job.

Glenview, IL

Yay, Congratulations, Shane!! Awe, just loved Carrie's Birthday picture!
Great idea on the insurance deal...We just sold Julia's car because she cannot afford the insurance. She helps with insurance on the truck though.

Well, now my cards are finally on the way!! Sure hope you all (Canada) receive them in time. Betty, yours has cash in it for the Workshop, so please let me know when it arrives, ok!!

Barbara, OMG, I was so giggling with the thought of your craft room being a mess, lol...My table is such a disaster, that i've moved to other areas of the room!!
Had to do a quick clean up because, I couldn't think any more. Hahaha, it's in a wonderful mess again.

My Buddies are almost complete...rest assure you will receive it in time for Christmas!!

So not sure you saw my post from yesterday.

Linda Kay Thank you, Thank you, for the subscription! What a way to make my day. It must have come Saturday, I saw it yesterday while cleaning the table!
It's such a nice treat...For everyone, It's a Birds & Blooms magazine, sure will look forward to reading.
...I've been meaning to say too, I was so bummed to hear your 4 wheeler was stolen, good gosh...

Dianne, Sent a little something your way!! My way of Thanking you and Santa Warren for making our Christmas extra special!
Well, Jacob did great at his meet! First place!! He got a plaque with the tree and photo of him being declared winner!! Nice frame too.
LOL, you remember well about his weight issue, he has been watching it very very careful. Last year he was over the limit by only a few ounces, so he is maintaining to stay in the middle wight category...And because he is undefeated, the team gave him a white singlet, with the thunderbolts on the sides. Only Varsity are allowed to wear it. Underclassmen wear the blue ones, so he was excited...
Did you and Santa Warren get to your baking?

We are still waiting to see Crissy's pressies!!

OMG, Have been trying to clear the way for the tree in between everything!! LOL. Today is Julia's birthday...We opened gifts Saturday night and last night had cake. She's got to work today, so dad won't see her till tomorrow.

Geesh, trying to remember all that was on the other thread...Betty, so glad your workshop was fun and they all look great! How was the Birthday Dinner, and happy Birthday Kyle!

Tonight, DH and Breenie are going down town to take photo's of the Christmas lights. She is working on her Finals for school...Good heavens, she Better be getting An A for all the extra money, Art supplies are NOT Cheep!

Ackk,screaming a spider!!!

Be back in a bit.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Awwww Judy biggggg bigg armwraps...so sorry to hear about your cousin...my thoughts and prayers are with you...

I am bushed...been up since 4am...we collected all the gifts from the Angel trees and sorted them. My darling daughter saw last night how beat and sore I am and volunteered to help us today before she had to go for work. Made me teary eyed and so proud when you see you taught your children well, even though they are not always showing it.

Tomorrow another busy day with sorting and getting the food/canned stuff ready for the food baskets. DH will help at night with that and I am hoping to squeeze a bit of sewing during the day in there anddddd I want to start the candle holders...lol...not enough hours in the day for sure!!!

I am running on Mary's chocolate!!! OMG they are sooooo good!!! Last night we were invited at my sisters for Dinner for her BD and I wore my brand new Mary Shirt...lol...everyone had a good laugh and of course I received Kissies!!! lol...Ohhhhhhh btw Mary...I already finished "Seedfolks" and I really enjoyed it...makes you really think doesn`t it. Ohhhh and I want to ask you...on Page 93 he refers to an earlier book he wrote about the character loosing her Mom...do you know by any chance what book he is refering too? Would love to read that one, because people keep on telling me the older I get I become more and more like my DM...which is such a great compliment to me because she was one special and loveable Lady.

Barb...wow I really love those Mug Rugs you made for crissy and the other ones too. What wonderful and thoughtful gifts you gave to Crissy. This Christmas Swape sure made my Christmas extra special for me this year, so many wonderful people I have met this year and I am very glad and feel blessed to have you all in my Life!!!
When is your appointment Barb for the specialist? Hope those pills are helping you a bit with the burning. Ohhhh and I love the ornaments and your Christmas Tree!!! Just adoreable and so special. Miss you girlie!!!

Dianne...how is Santa Warren doing and your Baby Quill? Did you start baking yet?

Ok...chocolate is wearing off and I need my sofa and my heating blanket...will try to talk more tomorrow morning.

Biggggggggg Hugssssssss for everyone and you all have a wonderful evening.
Love Thea

This is the little appliqued Wall Hanging I made for my sister for her BD. My hubby really loves it and asked me to make one for his DM...soooooo more sewing in the future...lol

Hi everyone - I'm well.
My buddy's pressie is in the US, and should arrive for Wed. Yaaaaaaaaay!

I'm anxiously waiting for mine, too! LOL

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello to All !
What a wonderful Gift Crissy ! LOVE that rain gauge... Barb seeing Crissy's pics makes me want to snuggle up with a hot mug of cocoa.... What a wonderful Gift !
Betty - Love the idea of Kyle chauffering you around LOL.... I'll bet he'll be a good driver...
Deb... YAY on your news of better income and all.... hopefully the break you all have deserved for so long....
Judy ((HUGS)) Gal... you've had a tough year. But congrats on Jake... what a stellar athlete he is ! Maybe a scholarship in his future ?
Oh THEA ! It means the world to me what you wrote above.... and so glad you wore your shirt ! And that you loved the book... After reading Whirligig...I bought and read about 6 more Paul Fleischman books one after the other... but none of those referenced a main character losing a mother.... So I just found one on Amazon and ordered it... I'll keep you posted.... It's called "The Borning Room"... don't know how I missed it before when I was on my "Read all this author's books" kick. Seedfolks made me think of *THIS*...Betty's group... like this is her community garden and we all have our own little area and interact and take care of each other....

Lost my mom in 2004 and it seems I've been doing all I can do to be more like her too....so I completely empathize with that...(HUG)

We had the Model A Christmas party tonight... I won a door prize (candy!) and we did the Dirty Santa game again...

It was fun... but It's late and have to Work (ugh) tomorrow...

So night Night Ya'll !
Mary

Victoria Harbour, ON

wow, got to tell you I got up extra early this morning and thought I'd be fighting for time to do the finished border for one of the quilts..watched a new method (for me) likely it's the way you do them and I'm so impressed...look at that 1 1/4 hrs to spare so have a few minutes for breakfast and gabbing..as I'm home and photo's are on this computer I shall post and respond to your posts when at work...how is that for being organized! lol Of course if you are some of those who cannot sleep, like Dianne and I, much can be accomplished before mid morning..shhh don't tell anyone I went to bed at 7:30pm

ok..arrived for supper Sunday at Greg and Melanie's, Mel was teaching Noah to do Christmas cookies...he had also made Kyle his birthday cake..nice warm feeling seeing them at work

Must get going today. We are having the boys for dinner so Mom and Dad can shop after work. Want to get some brownies made for them

Waving to all, tummy is getting hungry but lunch not for another hour..lient dropped in and gave me 2 rolls of rockets..remember them..almost like a sweet tuttie fruity roll..I used to pretend they were pills when I was young..some on the sour side..lol

Working on sewing, as clients come in they see what I'm up to and ohh and ahh..makes me feel as though the girls will like them, if not clients said I've their address, no need to ship them, they will come and pick the quilts up..

Thea's wall hanging is spectacular, looks as though you could go grab a handful of the puffy snow. don't you wonder what we'll do in another few weeks? bored we'll be!

OMG Judy you always have a floor going on of some kind.

Mine should be delivered TOMORROW to my Santa buddy! Excited!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Nope Betty - no garden path in your future...... lol

More people are leaving the company....... My boss (Neil) is leaving Calgary to go back to the UK office - his wife has a job in the UK and doesn't want to live in Canada, away from her family. Neil will stay with the company though - His first day of work in the UK is Feb 1st. He says he'll work all of January with our office.
One engineer is going to another company and his last day is Friday - another engineer is going for interviews (this is on the QT within the company) - and my boss' boss is going to Montreal to the Head Office (don't know when that will happen however).
Our Controller's work visa from Paris is almost done, and HR hasn't gotten the paperwork done to renew it (our global Head Office is in Paris).
Last month one of our other fellows left to go to our office in the UK.
I think another engineer is "putting out feelers" about another job that will pay more $$

At this rate I'll be at the company the longest!!
