50 and trying to rain

heavy fros this morning, messed up the winshield of the car. Needed a couple scrapping sessions before travel.

It was another beautiful 50 degree day here....hate to have the cold weather arrive :>(

Really getting spoiled with this weather. Gonna make the inevitable temp drop feel even worse! Hoping for nice weather on Wed. Going to the city with my wife.

it is now raining.

Covered my newest beds in spite of the warm weather. 43 F now, recent overnbight low was 27F but no signs of any hard freezes in the ground. The mulch is more to protect from my dog Clifford and his friends at this point since I found several exposed peony roots.

Also very foggy here this morning. Kinda dreary, but warm enough to play outside with Maggie for awhile. I am helping them make presents for their mommy and daddy. We glued uncooked pasta to a base. Left room for a candle. This afternoon it will be Henry's turn. After they dry we'll spray paint them gold. They will be centerpieces for a table. I think they will turn out well. I remember their daddy making one when he was little and it was cherished by me for many years.

Sounds like you had a pleasant day, Jan. It was almost 60 here.....cleaned out the inside of my car, gave the dog a bath....just sat in the sun for awhile!

rain rain and more rain

Rained yesterday, rain for today too. It's 39 now, high of 44 for today.

Rain again today. My grandson insists that we plant his "apple seeds" anyway. He's been carrying them around in his pocket and can't wait to see the three trees that will come from his three seeds. He's yet to learn the patience of a gardener. So far he's good at digging and collecting worms. Not bad for 5 years old. Hope he's up the the work I have planned for him next spring.

barely 40 and trying to rain. breezy too.

Rainy & 50....hoping the snow is north of us!

47° & still a drizzle, but less than earlier this afternoon. got 3 pkgs off. Far away around the country.

When my DS was 5 we'd ask him where does an apple tree come from. He decided that first you take an apple pie, then you plant the pie, and then you get an apple tree to make more pies. He was more accurate about where the water supply comes from in a city, so maybe that's why he's going in the engineering direction.
