Not to sound sexist, but it seems that girls are more likely to act like that, especially teens. Can you remember any girl music act that prompted crowds of screaming boys? I cannot.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

They don't scream....they drool, that's why you don't hear them. ^_^

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

LOL! Good one, Celeste!

Victor, you have a point. I don't think boys get as obsessed over things as girls do. Not to say that there is no obsessions among boys, but they seem to be in the minority over it.

Took one of my clients to see Journey 2 The Mysterious Island. Pretty good. Not great, but it was entertaining. Better than the first one, Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Saw an Adele interview where she defended her size.I would call her Rubenesque or vuluptous( sp).
There is also talk of the model who is Sports Illustrateds bathingsuit issue cover being airbrushed. Her Victorias Secret runway footage sure makes a case for that.
I doubt any one really knows how these stick women look in real life.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I know she was from NJ .. and I do feel bad she is dead.. but I am soooo tired of hearing Whitney's name on tv every ten seconds.. why does the news have to do that???? nothing else better to talk about???

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Same song too Allison!!! I am starting a few new paintings because there will be no TV today until she is buried. Then the after speculative stuff. With mor "I will always love you"

We are not teen agers who can stand a song forever.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's just the way media is these days. They overdo everything. 24/7 channels and the net are a curse in many ways.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Did you see all the streets they closed for the funeral? My friend lives next to the cemetary they are burying her in, he said it's completely nuts around there with all the security
Oh that airbrushing is CRAZY

shame that's what women think they should look like when it's not even real

So sorry to read that Judy Dench is losing her eyesight due to macular degeneration.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I adore her.I hope she can find a way to keep acting. I have a friend with Mac.Deg. and she has had it for many years and does well. Judy is 77 ,lets hope whe gets ten mor years befroe the lights go completely out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

She is having others read the scripts to her.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I believe Mac.Deg. doesnt mean everything goes black. My friend can see but focus is diffacult. When she comes to the gardenparty she only looks at plants she can bring very close to her eyes, like inches away.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Dench said she can only make out the outlines of faces.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Geesus what a tradgedy. That is really awfull.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Read that Whitney's daughter is hooked on drugs too. That is truly sad and tragic. She reportedly disappeared right after the wake yesterday to go get high. Hope they can save her.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Wow, what a shame, Victor. Yes, I hope she can be saved. What a waste.

Went to a production of Alladin Jr at local elementary school where our pastor's kids go, his son was Alladin and his daughter was one of the narrators....boy was it good...these were 5th and 6th graders and the production was AMAZING , what talent!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool. Impressive how good some of these shows are.

And a good outlet for excess energy.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Tell me what is so fascinating about Walking Dead. I took a pass on it ,just personal creeps me out zombie subject matter.
I am willing to give it a try if someone can tell me what I am missing.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i have no interest in it either jo - i am liking the new hbo series lucky

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I dont get hbo. Showtime and most channels "on demand" so I can watch night programs duering the day.
Homeland was terrific,I liked the first few episodes of Justified but none since.
Undercover Boss is good.
I loved Hell on Wheels for its more authentic scenery of railroad town in the west duering the building of the first railroad west.

If the silent movie wins tonight, they should just go up and mime the thank you speech.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I liked Shameless too.
Victor : L O L

Guess you three just aren't zombie movie fans. Just to let you know, though, the zombies (which, btw, are never called zombies in the show, but walkers instead) aren't what really make the show, but the living characters do. Excellent character development, people you can really care about, in situations that are seemingly hopeless. You find yourself wanting them to succeed. It's based on a popular cult comic book series (which I have not read, btw). Personally, I think this is the most realistic zombie story ever, and I just love the characters. I just saw a new episode last night and was not disappointed.

Jo, I love Hell On Wheels, also, and Shameless is a riot. William H. Macy is great in that show. I have not seen Lucky, but it looks really good.

Has anyone here seen the HBO series Game Of Thrones? I have really gotten into that one. I finally got caught up on the first season, and new episodes begin in April. It's based on a series of books by George R.R. Martin, the first of which is called A Game Of Thrones. It's beautifully done. Sword and sorcery type epic.

my better half just added season 1 of thrones to netflix

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm going to do that too.
I own Dowton Abby first season. DD and I watched all 7 episodes in 2 days.
I just ordered season 2. We are hooked on Masterpiece Theater anything.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Downton Abby is my favorite!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I just checked and there is a final season 3

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

You two are going to love Game Of Thrones.

I have not heard of Downtown Abbey. Rarely ever watch Masterpiece Theater.

Did anyone see the stupid thing Angelina Jolie was doing with her leg at the oscars?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nope, missed it.

ugh was watching an hgtv show and I had to turn it off the woman's lisp was driving me CRAZY!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Karen: Period pieces that take place in England are not for everyone. The british do a fanatastic job of anything they do. Masterpiece Contemporary might be more what you would like. "The Hour" is currantly my fave too.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

angelina needs to eat a few cheese burgers

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

You're telling me!
