Looking for a special hot pepper

Bakerhill, AL

Several years ago while traveling across Georgia, I stop to gas up and there was a pot of peppers planted near the fuel pumps that I loved. The peppers were about 3/4 in long and were all different colors. I have seen alot of peppers that were orange, purple etc, but they were about 1 to 2 inches in size. If someone knows of these peppers, Please let me know and if you have seed I sure like to have about 20. Thanks so much.

Hi Sholmz, cant really help you out but hope some other can, don't suppose you took a picture of these peppers did you, that would have made it easier all round. Over the past few years there has been a huge expanse of new pepper types breeding for the domestic market and come in maybe hot to have a fire engine on stand by, so your description could be any of the old or new types that are grown by folks.
Hope you can get the name and others can help.
Good luck. WeeNel.

How big were the plants themselves.

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

There are over a hundred varieties of ornamental peppers out there and most of them have a minimum of three colors. Marble 5 color and Hanoi Multicolor may be what you looking for as they undergo more color changes then most. Most of the others are green-purple red or yellow orange red., Explosive ember and NuMex twilight being examples.

If the plants were small it could be Medusa

You might want to contact the folks at a company called The Pepper Gal. They might be able to answer your question. I have done business with them before, and they seem to be very helpful. You can get their phone number from their website: www.peppergal.com .
