Betty, Santa Warren would like to change the lettering to Live,Love, Laugh. If it is too late or not possible that is fine. He is very interested in this project which I think is a good sign.

Had Ann go into my lumber yard for me yesterday to get quotes and show them the piece, not standard so they will have to mill the wood..today I will figure out numbers to do with you on-line friends, my family/friends workshop and order today..likely have the holes drilled for candles next Sunday then it's a matter of putting packages away.

Melanie my DIL is in Meaford this weekend at candle factory..am hoping she will find thrpe wreaths I'm looking for..with everyone on this mission it should be an easy project..

Remember our soldiers today and those of the past!

I'm also thinking about joining in on this one, but perhaps you could clarify something for me? You said that a "glass container with candle inside" is included with the project, but from the picture, it looks like there are holes for three containers with candles. Will there actually be holes for 3 containers with candles or just 1? And if it's 3, will all 3 be provided, or will we need to get something for the other 2 spaces?
Sounds like a fun project! Thanks for putting all this together for us :)

Welcome, yes everything is included, wooden base, wreath, three glass containers and 3 candles, depending on availability, candles just might be slightly different..also crackle medium and antiquing..also pattern for preferred wording....

Sometimes I'm in a daze so if I'm not clear, just ask for clarification. Lol

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here this morning!

OMG!! Look at all that snow, and here Betty, i was just a sniffling around yesterday when we got flurries, guess I'll stop now, lol.

Ahhh memory lane...Got to laugh, When we did the Smoosh painting, but my favorite part of all was discovering Podge!!! LOL, keep a large bottle on hand at all times! Yep, the Victorian Santa Sleighs sent me into a tizzy of mini's!! I think I made 50 ornaments that year!

the VS sleigh, still being one of my faves...Here, he was like 8! But the best part of this story is when he was cutting the small pattern, saying what a hard time it was because of his "manly" hands!!! almost hit the floor with laughter.

I missed out on the sleighs, they sure are pretty! Where do you find the Santa's for them?

We bought them at fabric stores..yardage..4 different ones, blue/green/beige and red..fun cutting the background away from the santa's, relaxing..

Seems regardless of the background done on the sleighs they all look wonderful.

I can sure attest to that!!!! I made four while at Betty's this summer and it was soooo much fun. And then she showed me how to do a Victorian Santa. I have been buying velvet and satin in different colors along with trims to use too. So much fun.....Thank you Betty. I'm so looking forward to this year.

Morning all, will take a better photo when I get home tomorrow, seems a shopping companions here say I'm doing false advertising ..I set the project on the mantle and the 5 tall candle holders behind it appear to be in the project sooo new photo it shall be.

Betty, I think we all understood that those other candles were NOT part of the project....I did, and I am usually on the slow side .. LOL sure hope you are having a great shopping trip!!

It is freakin cold here !! when I got out of work at 10 pm last night temp. on the vans thermometer said 45 !! and it got colder in the early am hours today..had to get up and get another quilt!! I know that is not a bad temp for some of you northerners!! but if it ain't at least in the 70's....this Floridian is cold!!! I guess it is time to break out one of the hand stitched quilts, to work on while sittin around.... Might just get Momma's quilt done in the next month !!! not very much left to go on it...I was just sew very unmotivated to work on it when it was hot weather. yup..good idea!! gonna go pull it out right now !!!

I love to do the hand sewing in the winter and cuddle under whatever I'm sewing. I thought winter was made just for that!!! And for hot chocolate too of course.....

Oh yes hot chocolate and hand quilting go hand in hand. Always helps to play an old movie to.

I'd love to see "Arsenic and Old Lace" again with Cary Grant. I just loved that movie and it was also my senior play back in high school tooooo many years ago....

Ordering the wood to be milled so I can pick it up on Friday afternoon after work..have the glass voltive holders..hoping to get the wreaths at the craft show on Saturday, if not, have to look for plan B..candles shouldn't be a problem..so all going well on my end!

Welcome Michelle, will add you to the group..my mail out barring blizzard is to mail from Buffalo on the 3rd of Dec. normally anything I mail from there takes but 2 or 3 days. Simple project time wise so won't be a problem getting it done

Managed to get voltive holder and candles on Saturday

Nowhere could I find the wreaths..finally managed to order wreaths form a country store in Meaford, will ship ups tomorrow

So am organized..going to put a kit together to see the size of box I need..doubtful it will fit in a flat rate box..

Tired after decorating for almost 16 hours yesterday but might find enough energy to play with cricut to see if it works for what I want it to do

Here I sit in the office, brought in my Cricut Cutter in hopes of playing with wording..if I feel it's not to our advantage to do wording with cut-outs I will do a sketch of wording, include graphite for tracing so it will be easy to do as well, or might include both and you can decide which to use...limited to lettering style with the Cricut (would still look nice though)

So am moving right along..

Would ask that those who have NOT listed their wording preference to do so..busy week and weekend ahead, would like to do my mailing labels as well so I'm on top of things..am I ever on top of things????
