I don't know of Lychnis being bulbs, all the ones I know or grow are perennial plants that have a root system and are grown from seeds.

The only other plant with a type called Lucifer is a tiny bulb / corm, known as Crocosmia, the bulbs / corms are very tiny, they begin to flower in early spring and the corms look like miniature Gladiola's, they make new (more Bulbs ) each year.
The usual colour grown is small flowers in colour of Orange or yellow, but the Lucifer has larger flowers and are bright red, the flowering stems are tall and flower like gladioli as in the flowers start to flower from the bottom and open on the way to the top.
I would double check the info you have and see if there is miss info somewhere, but I have to say I may have missed something along the years.
Good luck WeeNel.

Well, they are listed as _________ Lychnis with the "___" label part to smeared to read.

one that was generously shared with me apparently when my back or knees were out or the spider bite/MRSA trip. One of those Summer 'vacations', that I couldn't plant then and lived in spite of me.

I'll be watch-in the ground next spring, and the underground varmints hopefully will let me wee what they are (the blooms not the varmints! ^-^ ,
