Margaret, how lucky you are to see the young galah-it's adorable!

Lily, love your trio of birds. Love that last heron photo with the boulder coming out of the water.

Ladi, congratulations on the lifer rusty blackbird. Looks like yours is a male. I was hoping to find one here with our stray female.

Burd, congrats on that red-tail-it's a beauty.

This red-winged blackbird is so pretty in flight, but he wouldn't cooperate for a photo op.

Love those Acorn woodpeckers. would love to see a granary tree some day!

Well, well, look who decided to show up (for the winter, I hope). Haven't seen one of these since last February. This Carolina Wren was not at the feeders, but finding some bugs in the coconut fiber.

Mrs. Ed. Or she's stealing the coconut fiber for roosting site for the winter. ;-)

We cleared out some brush piles to the side yard. I've seen Carolina Wrens coming in and out of the brush pile quite often. Look like I'm not able to rid of the pile until spring arrives for these guys/gals find this to be a nice place to winter over?

I ran out of suet cakes so I put a smorgasbord of different things on the platform for the birds to eat, I mixed up rolled oats, torito chips, and honey clusters that were outdated and we did not want. Do you think that they will eat any of that? I would try to make homemade suet cakes but don't have enough lard. And right now, money is scarce. I also moved the bird bath a little further away from the house.
