There are many posts on how to over winter the Mandevilla or Dipladenia (same plant, diff. species). They all have different suggestion on how to handle this and I want to do the right one. Im in zone 7 where the winters can go to 10 to 0 degrees fahrenheit. The only place I would have room is by a window in my unheated garage and the other is a dark bathtub in the basement. Do I or do I not cut it back??? I must be transplanted into another pot because its in a giant concrete pot that can not be moved. Can I wrap in it in a burlap if its in my cold garage? I have kept my orleander tree for 10 years without protection in there and I comes back every year. Thanks.
