I have a large pond, about 30 x 40. No liner, just a nice hole in the ground. I would love some suggestions for a ground cover to put on one side of the pond. The waterline never gets up to the top of the bank on this side, though I do have 2 underground streams that leak into the pond when it rains. This bank is about 7 feet from the highest watermark to the border plants at the top. It gets full sun, mostly dry except for the area that is wet when it rains by the underground streams. Can someone suggest a ground cover that would stay under a foot high and cover this mostly dry (a little damp) area? I am in zone 6. Many thanks!
