planted Orange Jubilee approx 30 days ago and still no beginning of any blooms. What do I have to do to get the plant to start blooming? Thanks
How do I get my Orange Jubilee to bloom.
You'll need to be patient with it. If you're in the part of TX that's been so hot & dry, I'd just be happy that it's still alive. It won't even think about blooming until it has a chance to get its roots going and that probably won't happen too much until the weather cools down. Shrubs also will sometimes take a while to bloom even if you plant them during cooler weather where they're able to get established quickly. There's a saying that holds true for some shrubs & perennials "first year they sleep, 2nd year they creep, 3rd year they leap". Some will get going faster than that, but at a minimum I wouldn't expect much from it until next year.
I found 3 plants with the name 'Orange Jubilee.' Which plant is this you have? Just curious.
I was assuming Tecoma 'Orange Jubilee' http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/60979/ Out of the things in PF with that name that one made the most sense, I know Tecoma is commonly grown in TX and this is a popular cultivar.
