My Camila leaves keep turning brown even the new ones , Help.
why do the leaves keep turning brown
It would be helpful if you could provide a little more information such as how long you've had your Camellia, when did it start browning, and how much sun is it getting (plus a picture that is in focus). Also, it looks as if it is planted in potting soil which isn't the best medium for Camellias. And if you tell me it's in Miracle-Gro potting soil then I'll tell you that's your #1 issue.
I agree with plantfreak as regards the soil, Camila's like a slight acid soil like you would use for Rhododendrons, they also like shade (not direct sun) cooler root area will suit it best too.
the yellowing of the leaves is telling you the plant is not happy where you have it, I would suggest you go to garden center and buy bag Of compost (acidic) and re-pot the plant into this, make sure there is drainage holes in the bottom of pot, as they like dampish soil but not wet so free draining is good, I would also add a mulch around the top of the pot to prevent the soil drying out too fast, remember a pot sitting in hot sunlight will dry out very quickly where as plants set out in the garden in a shaded area (if possible) will not loose the water so fast as the roots get a chance to go down for cooler areas and find moisture but in a pot this is not possible, hope this helps you out a bit and your plant recovers before winter rest, remember these plants don't like early morning sun as this can spoil the flower buds which on a mature plant will be forming about now. Good luck. WeeNel.
