Definitely looks odd if one edits out all the litter!!

LOL. That's too funny. First one looks good, though.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Nice ones Patti. Nice editing job there Resin. Agreed with the littered pipe's usefulness for the birds. lol

Fish Crows do what they do best; fishing. ^_^

? Eastern Blue Bird.

Yep!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Resin, lighting is not the best the last couple of days. It seems our dogwood berries are just in prime condition for picking. All kind of birds are after them, woodpeckers, eastern Blues, migratory warblers, sapsuckers all competing for the berries.

Oh, Resin, you gave me a good belly laugh with your edit.

This was either a chickadee, tufted titmouse, or nuthatch. I cannot tell which.

MY, my, you guys are doing a good job on your bad shots.

How often, does it happen, to get 4 Cedar Waxwings on a dead tree in a shot? Well here they are, butttttttttttt......

Why do I always here Michael Jackson's song "BAD" when I am here......lol

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

LOL with you Nan.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Newly returned Junco, then I found the 1st arrival White crowned Sparrow-- another 'snow bird' returning to the area for the season. Pic. isn't clear enuff for the daily thread. :((

I have visited quite a number of bird and photo forums, but this is the first I have ever experienced that had a thread for BAD photos. Admittedly, I'm sure we all get them from time to time, but I have never been inclined to share them. The real nasty ones usually don't even make it to my PC.

#$&%@#!!* wind

Welcome Shutterbug, perhaps you now will save some of the really awesome bad pictures to share. LOL. Sometimes the badness is just too funny not to share.

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Margaret, Arrrggghhh. That wind ruined what could have been an awesome photo. But, sadly, it belongs here. ^_^

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Good bad pic. of the Osprey there Margaret. Got a good bad one on my Fish Crow going veggian.

I don't know if that is really bad enough for this thread Lily!!

Brown Creeper......and I had a dozen more shots just as bad!

(Zone 5a)

I'd frame any bad picture I'd get of a Brown Creeper. I've been wanting to have those at my place for so long. :)
Mnshutterbug,
I feel at home on this thread because the vast majority of my pics are bad and always feel my "good" pictures are crummy after seeing others' really good shots.

Yesterday was a day for in flight photos... I have 3 of them.

I was thrilled to have a Robin come by yesterday and was even more so to find I had gotten Peanut (the Flicker), Red-bellied, a Junco and Robin all in one picture, bad as it is!

Thumbnail by Chillybean
(Zone 5a)

My favourite of the bunch. I know it rates poor, but I was so happy to finally get a picture of Peanut's Yellow-shaftedness. :D

LOL....we do have to reap our rewards where and when we can! There are some folks on the Daily Pics thread that I just won't post after....ya know what I mean!! lol

SW, MN

Chilly, I'm just surprised to see you have a tree in Iowa. :)

(Zone 5a)

mnshutterbug, Hahaha! My husband read that and wanted you to know that's not a tree, but a new hybrid corn they grow here now. :D Seriously, we do have a few trees, mostly around homesteads and creeks, but other than that a whole lot of cropland and some restored prairies.. At least in our area. Further east, there are a few more.

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Lily, Fish crow pic is way too good. Looks like a pecan?
Cool!
Nanny, I'm with Chilly. I'd keep any Brown Creeper shot. Never seen one.
Chilly, That flicker is wonderfully awful. Must be so cool to see them.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Yes, Patti, it looked very much like a pecan.

Here's my nemesis bird. When they see my truck, they fly away as fast as possible. I have lots of Northern Harrier derrieres.

There were Grasshopper Sparrows in this field, so maybe???

Probably a Field Sparrow

Nice Harrier pics, they don't belong on this thread!!

Resin

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks, Resin. For the possible ID and the kind words, but those are pretty bad to me.

(Zone 5a)

Either this Junco is inspecting bird droppings, or its saying we need to replace the feeder.

And replace the board we will when it warms again. It was a project done by a child and he used what we had on hand.

Chillybean, That's cute! It would make a good candidate for this thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1145176/

(Zone 5a)

P_Edens. Thanks for the link. It is hysterical.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Chillybean, that link is one of my fav. threads here. Okay, time for more bad pix. How I wished this Yellowbelled sapsucker would come out in hiding so I can see its winter plumage, it's gorgeous one but I can only take peek at his yellow and black and red coloring.

Thumbnail by Lily_love
(Zone 5a)

I am sure it was a beautiful bird. ;)

Well, this picture is BAD is more ways than one.

I am sure many of you know about the Snowy Owls by now. We are scouring the fields looking for one of these. Now that the snow is melted, they should be easy to pick out, if one is indeed there, right? We're flying down the country highway at 55 mph, when I spy something with a nice owl shape. I calmly tell my husband because there was someone behind us. He turns around, which puts us on the other side of the road from the field where I saw it. We have to be careful not to spook it. As my husband takes the picture a breeze blows our snowy owl around a bit. AAAH!! It's a grocery bag!!!!!!!! Sigh...

Thumbnail by Chillybean
Central, AL(Zone 7b)

That's really bad to the bones, urrrr BAG! LOL
