Great pics guys!

OK Duc, I'm totally jealous! I took the flowers off the hummer feeders so other birds could feed too, but the bees just overwhelmed the feeders. I read that bees can kill hummers, so I put the flowers back on. I have one feeder out that I'm letting the bees have b/c with the drought I don't know that there is enough food for them.

Thanks Resin for the explanation, how neat to have other birds enjoying the nectar feeder too Duc. Elphy, the only other critters on my nectar feeder are ants and bees too. I'm almost as green with envy. lol

Sorry Elphaba, I should have said that the hummer feeders with the flowers removed are only on my 2nd floor (our main floor) of my home. Once in a while a bee will come up from the garden, but most of the time they spend among all the flowers.

Lily, I use ant guards with all my feeders and they work great, but you do have to refill them with water a couple times a day when it's hot.

Here's a nice shot of my Western Tanager. The only way I could tell it from an oriole was the bill is orange and fatter plus the top bar on the wings is yellow compared to the white on the oriole.

Here's one of my sweet orioles waiting for a spot on the feeder.

Thank you duc for the website on various bird feeders and ant moats. I'm making a list for Christmas. lol. The shots of the woodpeckers are out of this world! Especially the Acorn Wp.
