My lima beans are in various stages of growth now . I have some that are just plumbing out the pods and then I have some that the pods have turned brown and the beans rattle inside.
Is it to late to do any thing with the brown pod ones?
lima beans help please
Use them for seed or dried beans.
Ditto what Farmerdill said.
Pick those brown dried ones so you plant will continue to produce new pods and keep flowering. If you don't pick the dried ones the plant will shut down, thinking it has done its job of "reproducing".
The green pods, let them fill out then pick them in the green filled-out stage for your fresh eating or for freezing.
