Very humid here today. 78 and sunny, with 80% H.
Weather In Your Garden # 105
After 10 days over 90 degrees in July, I had only one in August. But August's rain totaled a mind-boggling 18.79 inches.
Too hot and humid for Labor Day weekend
85° 65% humidity
Hi all! Forgive me for being AWOL so long. I'm lurking a lot and now doing some "little finger typing" at a rather slow pace, but just had to check in to see how everyone is doing. It's very hot and muggy here today and the skies are getting darker, so hopefully some rain will come and then it will become more like LD weather should be!! Hope all of you workers have a great day off tomorrow!!

Hi Louise! Were you affected by Irene at all??
Hi Victor! Huge tree blocked our road and took out our power and water and phones for 4 days. We lost another 110-ft tree right behind the house, but luckily it fell to the north and not on our house. My gardens fared very well. How about you?
Very lucky here. No damage and no power loss.
Wow, you WERE lucky! My son never lost power either, so we went to his house for one night to get a nice shower.
And many in my town and coun were not as lucky. Those near the river got hit hard.
HUMID!!!

Watches and Warnings South China Forecast THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 834 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MAINE THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES
Rainy week ahead here.
...hope I get plenty of rain here, haven't had much so far..
76°, feels like 76°, H 76%, (I should play the number..), wind from the South at 12 mph, and it's been mostly sunny today.
Forecast is for partly cloudy skies tonight with increased humidity. Dropping down to 69° tonight.
(Rain forecasted for most of the week beginning tomorrow night. ☺!)
- Glad you're Ok Louise!
Louise, why are you typing with a little finger? What happened? The sun never really came out today, but it was low 80s & humid....the little ones played in the water all day.....
storms came through later in the day. currently dry, will see what tomorrow wil bring.
up to 86° today. humid as well & supposed to be humid tomorrow as well.
any rain is going to be bad.. we still have flood warnings until wed... just stinks.. 72 now going to 77.. supposed to get thunderstorms tonight
Yes Lee is going to dump all the way up to Maine and Lord knows there are enough places waterlogged already! I feel bad for the people is the flooded areas...some are just now getting back on there feet and some are still without power and supplies!!!
my co-worker is still without power.. kept trying to give him extra gas cans for his generator .. he kept turning me down.. said he doesn't want all those can lying around... thought he was nuts.. I just kept saying.. better than going for gas everyday
I'm concerned this rain will knock out more bridges and flood bigger areas than is already flooded.
Brians cousin works for the water company in VT. we have not heard from him since Irene...he's cut off fron the rest of the state. He lives in the area that lost 3 bridges within a mile of each other and is stranded for now. As far as we know he is OK....but that has been from family friends...no word from him personally yet.

We have a flash flood watch too. Yesterday the storms didn't materialize it was just muggy and hazy and really ugly. So far, today's the same. I really feel for those people who are trying to recover from the last storm.
72°, wind from the South at 8 mph, H 88%, mostly cloudy.
Beautiful morning here with the sun peeking out every so often over the clouds. Possibility of a couple of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Today's high ~77°, along with the H% it will feel like 83°.
Tonight, periods of rain expected, wind from the South at 7mph, temps dropping to 63°.
Good morning, everyone, and happy Labor Day.
A cool 63 degrees and cloudy right now in WNY. Only getting a few degrees warmer with rain coming.
Praying for everyone's safety in the midst of the storms.
Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends. ☺
-Dave
looks like another nice day although humid.
We just got drenched! It was one heck of a downpour for about 10 -15 minutes. All done now and sun is trying to come out.
rained overnight, little over half an inch, cloudy with continued chance of rain at 30%, mid 60s
No rain here yet, but it's in the forecast.....amazing how quickly they got rid of 85' of water behind the dam......Sat. there was still a lake....yesterday....nothing! Guess the rangers are preparing for Lee......
Very interesting, notice at ~3:13 the sky gets significantly darker. The surprise starts around 5:41 (elapsed time).

66 and breezy. Scattered showers too.
Wow - scary!!
Interesting video.
We've had intermittent rain here. Still upper 70's and humid! The lady bugs are already showing up inside my house. Is that a bad sign?
Probably a bad sign. There were pictures of the tornado on the noon news, but I would hate to be that close to it.
Geez, that was scary...it would of been wet outside and inside the car if it was me. :)
What do you do?!! Try to drive away? Leave the car and run into a bldg?
I just told you...i'd sit in the car and pee my pants.
Several weeks ago, when I was traveling west on the Thruway, I, and many other cars, had to pull off the road because of cloudburst conditions...that was the same day part of it was closed to a gas leak....then, after Irene, my niece said eastbound was closed between Binghampton & Schnectedy....not a good summer on the Thruway! Weather here is mostly cloudy & humid....had a heavy rain shower in Goshen, but nothing in my town.....
It's pouring down rain. We've had several showers scattered throughout the day, but now it's pouring.
Rain totally missed here, very humid
rain is coming this way
