Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very humid here today. 78 and sunny, with 80% H.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

After 10 days over 90 degrees in July, I had only one in August. But August's rain totaled a mind-boggling 18.79 inches.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Too hot and humid for Labor Day weekend
85° 65% humidity

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hi all! Forgive me for being AWOL so long. I'm lurking a lot and now doing some "little finger typing" at a rather slow pace, but just had to check in to see how everyone is doing. It's very hot and muggy here today and the skies are getting darker, so hopefully some rain will come and then it will become more like LD weather should be!! Hope all of you workers have a great day off tomorrow!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hi Louise! Were you affected by Irene at all??

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hi Victor! Huge tree blocked our road and took out our power and water and phones for 4 days. We lost another 110-ft tree right behind the house, but luckily it fell to the north and not on our house. My gardens fared very well. How about you?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very lucky here. No damage and no power loss.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Wow, you WERE lucky! My son never lost power either, so we went to his house for one night to get a nice shower.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And many in my town and coun were not as lucky. Those near the river got hit hard.

Thomaston, CT

Louise, why are you typing with a little finger? What happened? The sun never really came out today, but it was low 80s & humid....the little ones played in the water all day.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

any rain is going to be bad.. we still have flood warnings until wed... just stinks.. 72 now going to 77.. supposed to get thunderstorms tonight

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes Lee is going to dump all the way up to Maine and Lord knows there are enough places waterlogged already! I feel bad for the people is the flooded areas...some are just now getting back on there feet and some are still without power and supplies!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my co-worker is still without power.. kept trying to give him extra gas cans for his generator .. he kept turning me down.. said he doesn't want all those can lying around... thought he was nuts.. I just kept saying.. better than going for gas everyday

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm concerned this rain will knock out more bridges and flood bigger areas than is already flooded.
Brians cousin works for the water company in VT. we have not heard from him since Irene...he's cut off fron the rest of the state. He lives in the area that lost 3 bridges within a mile of each other and is stranded for now. As far as we know he is OK....but that has been from family friends...no word from him personally yet.

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

We have a flash flood watch too. Yesterday the storms didn't materialize it was just muggy and hazy and really ugly. So far, today's the same. I really feel for those people who are trying to recover from the last storm.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

72°, wind from the South at 8 mph, H 88%, mostly cloudy.

Beautiful morning here with the sun peeking out every so often over the clouds. Possibility of a couple of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Today's high ~77°, along with the H% it will feel like 83°.

Tonight, periods of rain expected, wind from the South at 7mph, temps dropping to 63°.

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone, and happy Labor Day.

A cool 63 degrees and cloudy right now in WNY. Only getting a few degrees warmer with rain coming.

Praying for everyone's safety in the midst of the storms.

Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends. ☺

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

66 and breezy. Scattered showers too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - scary!!

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

Interesting video.

We've had intermittent rain here. Still upper 70's and humid! The lady bugs are already showing up inside my house. Is that a bad sign?

South Hamilton, MA

Probably a bad sign. There were pictures of the tornado on the noon news, but I would hate to be that close to it.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Geez, that was scary...it would of been wet outside and inside the car if it was me. :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What do you do?!! Try to drive away? Leave the car and run into a bldg?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I just told you...i'd sit in the car and pee my pants.

Thomaston, CT

Several weeks ago, when I was traveling west on the Thruway, I, and many other cars, had to pull off the road because of cloudburst conditions...that was the same day part of it was closed to a gas leak....then, after Irene, my niece said eastbound was closed between Binghampton & Schnectedy....not a good summer on the Thruway! Weather here is mostly cloudy & humid....had a heavy rain shower in Goshen, but nothing in my town.....

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

It's pouring down rain. We've had several showers scattered throughout the day, but now it's pouring.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Rain totally missed here, very humid

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

rain is coming this way
