awesome pics guys!! Here are few from the morning walk yesterday.
Eastern Phoebe....I watched this one for a while and it was following the male Blue Bird around. Found that very interesting!
Daily Bird Pics - Vol. 412
Love all the different birds guys; great shots!
Hope everyone in the East made it through the hurricane alright. We're still having strong wind gusts but so far everything is good.
I took down all the bird feeders last night after dark and when I went outside to put the feeders back up before 6 am and was greeted by 2 Hummingbirds and many other small birds anxious to eat.
I was surprised to see the hummingbirds continuing to come to the feeder until dark, despite the strong winds and heavy rain. It is a wonder they didn't hurt their beaks, being blown about as they were. I had planned to take the feeder down but couldn't bear to since they seemed so determined to keep coming. Besides, I didn't want to get all wet.
Here are two, just before dark.
But this morning the storm was gone; no wind and the sky even displayed tiny patches of blue. By noon the sky was completely blue. Here is a shot I took this morning, probably one of the hummers you see in the previous picture. This was taken with the 100mm macro lens, from a distance of about 15 inches (through the window, of course).
Wow, lots of great shot all!! Been a strange summer for me, right now just trying to get back on track. Have a few shots to share with you. Visited Pipe Creek for the last time today...it will be January before I get to return. Start off with a new bird for my list and one Id thought Id never see but Pipe Creek always has the odd visitor. Ruddy Turnstone
wow!
