About one acre and spreading fast. What can I do about this?
Almost My Entire Lawn is Wild Strawberries
Bump
I think you should post your question in the invasives forum: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/invasives/all/
I wish I had an answer for you.
You either dig them out by the roots, burn the whole plant with a flame gun that works by petrol and burns the top growth, be careful when you do this as you need to make sure you don't start fires, or lastly, spray with brush killer that you will fins available from garden centers etc, NOT everyone will want to spray as it is chemical ans you need to do this on a very still day or you get wind spreading it where you DON'T want it to land, also you need to be selective as to when you want to replant, do you have lots of wild life etc, also with chemicals think about where any run off will end up, sometimes it can land in waterways due to the rain water systems in your area.
Perhaps the local authority office in your area could also give you good advice because if it is a pest to you, it must be to others too.
Good luck, hope you find the answer to your huge problem.
WeeNel.
