how much lime to use and when

I need to add lime to my garden soil ,but am not sure how much to add or when the best time to add it is . I also want to add manure [ store bought not fresh] but also am not sure I was thinking in the fall.

Hi Tammy. Here is some info for you on the ins and outs of liming your garden. Have you done a pH test on your soil to determine if the soil is indeed too acid?
