Moonflower stopped flowering

Orgiva, Granada, Spain

Hi all, I bought a moonflower a few months ago. Initially it grew really well and flowered. Now it's stopped flowering! I water it every day because if I don't it the leaves goes droopy, 3 weeks ago I gave it some fertilizer, maybe that was a mistake? can anyone help? I need some of these wonderful night time flowers in my life again!

I know if moonflowers get too much fertilizer, they will grow lush plants with few to no flowers. Also, they seem to do better with a good deep watering rather than watering daily. Wilty looking leaves are a sign of over-watering as well as under-watering. Too much of anything seems to retard their flowering. You did not say if your plant is in a container or in the ground or what kind of light it is getting.

I have my moonflower in a pot. I started it in a somewhat small pot when my friend gave it to me but earlier this summer it started looking bad so I put it in a larger pot. After it had time to settle in, I fertilized it lightly with Miracle Grow All Purpose Plant Food. It responded quickly by putting on more growth and has been giving me a steady stream of flowers too. Our weather has been very hot so I've been watering it thoroughly every three to four days. Also, I have it sitting on my front porch where it's in bright shade until mid-afternoon when it gets about 4 hours of western sun.
