Help please!!! Grasshoppers are eating everything!

I seem to have all the grasshoppers in the neighborhood in my garden and yard. They are even trying to get inside. What can I do to get rid of them? My cats are inside but my 7 yr old likes to play in the yard, I also want to still have an edible harvest. (whats left of it anyway) Please help.

There's a biological control called Semaspore that controls grasshoppers. It'll also kill crickets but other than that it's pretty specific and won't kill all your good bugs (or poison your veggies) http://www.arbico-organics.com/product/semaspore-organic-grasshopper-control/pest-solver-guide-grasshoppers-crickets
