Do these look like bunching onion seedlings or am I growing nice healthy weeds? I planted lettuce in two other pots and not sure how two of the seeds got in with the onions. I did use seed starting mix from a sealed bag but I guess something could have gotten in there. There are a few things starting to germinate that possibly could be my onions (the package said 10 to 14 days so that is about right). Everything else in there was up in two or three days.
Thanks,
Vaughn
are these evergreen bunching onions?
Vaughn Sorry I don't see bunching onions either you are not long into the germ cycle or this is a pot without seed.
Onion plants look like wittle green hairs.

Not an onion in the bunch. Looks like you have some lettuce seedlings, something like red-veined sorrel, a young sage plant, and something else that looks like either a young okra plant or a green of some kind.

The seed packet clearly said evergreen bunching onions. I guess I'll find out what grows lol the two lettuce seedlings are probably from a seed stuck to my hand or something as I have red fire leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce in other pots. Don't know where everything else came from. There should be 10 little onions in there lol
It could be the onion seeds just haven't germinated yet, then. How long has it been since sowing? And what temps has the soil been at?
If you had your soil out on your potting table you may have dropped seeds in it by accident, too. Or seeds were left on the table and got mixed in. I'd leave it as is and consider it a "garden salad" pot! *grin

I sowed the seeds 11 days ago and the packet says 10 - 12 days so the little tiny cotyledons just popping up are probably my onions, guess I will find out. Soil temp under the lights all day is running 80 degrees.

I bet you're right, Vaughn. That's about the correct time for them to germ.
Hope you got some of our rain today. We need it, as well as the respite from the heat, eh?
Shoe
Shoe, we got 1/2" of rain today and looking forward to a week of no 90's or 100's!

I see one red lettuce, one green lettuce, two possible okra and the rest I can't identify.
I wouldn't eat something I couldn't identify!
Onions look a little like grass when they sprout. If you've ever grown chives, they look like that.
A wise decision, Vaugh :)
I've had problems with Ferry Morse seeds - but you can't beat their price! Our local W-mart carries them for 99¢ a package.
