Leftover pizza & salad....
It's dinner time, whats cooking?
Is it bad of me that I had waffles and ice cream for breakfast????
Sounds great to me, Jen.
We are picking up our assembled grill from Lowe's later this afternoon. I'll have to find something to grill for dinner tonight. ☺
Nice...everything tastes better bbqd
oh btw they were homemade gluten free waffles and all natural ice cream....that does make me feel better ☺
Sounds wonderful to me, Jen
me too!!.. burgers tonight
Eggplant parm tonight
Steak & cheese subs :)
Went to Hurd Orchard's luncheon today, had salad topped with peaches and nectarines with a fresh raspberry dressing, peach bread, honey oat bread, peach-apricot-orange preserves(made this morning), chicken pot pie, fresh applesauce, stuffed tomato, sparkling cider and raspberry pie. Everything was made with fresh fruits from the orchard. They also sold a lot of baked goods, preserves and fruit in the gift shop.
I was so full, I couldn't eat dinner when the kids came over tonight. Tired too, so I just picked up some sushi rolls, garlic shrimp, rice and asiago croquetts, and then some peach bread and preserves from the orchard.
Decided to take things to my dad at his Assisted Living Facility then went to Denny's with him, my wife and eldest son. Got the grill at Lowe's afterwards and we'll try it out tomorrow.
I got full just reading that, Deb
Where is the orchard located, Debi? My niece would love it, I'm sure.....
Ridge Rd in Holley, just past the Monroe county line. It was a little expensive, but nice atmosphere, flowers everywhere, and good food.
Went out to dinner place called Cheeburger Cheeburger 50's style place at this open air mall where they have car shows on Friday night...so wanted to go and look at cars after we ate...well surprise suprise it started pouring and all the cars went home...sheesh...
Thanks, Debi....I wasn't planning on cooking, but son called & said family was planning on eating with me tonight, so I made Swedish meatballs, noodles, green beans, & salad.....
love that RD!
Sounds good Robin, I haven't made sweedish meatballs in awhile.....making mental note for some in the near future. :)
Putting a turkey in the rotisserie, making stuffing, red-skinned-garlic mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli, drop biscuits, cranberry sauce and gravy. I'm going to eat my way through this storm. ^_^
LOL....me, too! I baked spare ribs yesterday, will put them on the grill today.....
enjoy while we might have peanut butter & jelly for dinner.. LOL
P & J are good. My DD's FB said the same thing this morning... said if the power goes out it'a a P&J day!!
is the easiest
My friend on the other side of town has no power, so I'll go get her at noon...good thing I cooked yesterday!

I have a pork butt in the crock pot for pulled pork, if power goes out I will have to finish it on the grill. Maybe I could make one of those homemade smokers. lol

Whatever floats by...(Or whomever)
I just got ready two sirloin steaks and two pork steaks - drizzled on grape seed oil and sprinkled on Montreal steak seasoning. Put four ears of corn on the cob with the husks still on into a big pot of water to soak. All this will be grilled in about 3 hours. I love my new grill - even made coffee and sausage on it for breakfast.
Hope you are all having a blessed and super Sunday. ☺

Sounds good Dave, I love doing everything on the grill, may even try baking a cake one day! Just to see if I can! :-)
LOL, debi_K!
I want to try pizza on the grill. I'll look for recipes and instruction on the internet and do that someday soon. The coffee was so good brewed on the grill in an old blue-speckled coffee pot.
I know, there's something about camp coffee that is so good. Looking forward to our caboose camping trip in the fall.
Cool. I would like to do that someday.
4 million on the east coast w/o power. 16 dead.
Sad....one lived near my Mom.....live wires from a downed tree set the house on fire, hubby made it out, wife didn't.....2 firefighters were shocked when they tried a rescue, but both will be OK...My friend was happy to have a hot meal, but what she enjoyed the most was coffee! I sent her home with a thermos full......
How was it in Thomaston, Robindog? My inlaws are in Watertown. Haven't heard from them.
My brother lives in Watertown (on the Woodbury side) & I spoke to him earlier today....he had power, but much of Watertown didn't....I also heard many trees were down there....Thomaston was pretty much spared...having 3 federal flood control dams in town saved us.....
we must have the same blue speckled coffee pot!!
made the hotdogs I bought for today anyway.. under the broiler
