I have an Natchez Crepe Myrtle that seems late to leaf in spring. Is there anyway to nudge it into leafing a bit early? Maybe extra watering or some special fertilizer? I have a special outdoor occasion coming in the spring and would like it to be green and lush. Thanks for any help offered!
Encouraging a Crepe Myrtle to leaf in Spring
I'm afraid that plants leaf out only when they are good and ready and crape myrtles are notoriously late. The only thing that will encourage your crape myrtle to leaf out early would be an unusually warm spring. This is one thing you just can't hurry.
