This is a very large aloe plant, can someone please tell me how to cut it without doing damage to the plant?
CLOSED: Aloe, how to cut?
Looks like you have several stems that have only green on the ends. Using a clean knife, cut through them close as possible to the pot. Let the end of the cutting dry out - weeks on a shelf. Then pot them up, they will form roots and you'l have more plants. Is that what you are asking about?
Yes it is, just to clarify tho, you said cut it close to the pot. Does that mean close to the mother plant?
Thank you so much for your help!!
Ruth
You can cut a stem any where. I'm thinking about getting the best looking results = no bare stems. Myself, I'd be sutting the bare stems right where they leave the pot.
Thank you so much, you have been a great help! I probably would have cut it correctly, but wouldn't have known to let it sit
Thanks again,
Ruth
