do all zucchinis produce seeds? how big do you have to let them get? i am asking because i see no signs of seeds in the zucchini i am harvesting and eating, but only let them get 4-6 inches long before i pick them. should i just let one go to whatever size it will reach? i really want to save seeds for next year but dont know what to look for. thank you
zucchini seed question
Yes they all produce seeds. They do have to mature, which for some varieties can be 2 feet long. Be aware tho that zucchini cross readily with ther C. pepo type squash. Unless you hand pollinate and bag the the blossoms, no telling what the offspring will be like.
right now i only have zucchini planted so would that be ok? nothing else to cross with (i hope) at my place and neighbors are not into gardening. otherwise, no point in saving the seeds i guess.
