Thinking of removing railroad tyes and replacing with block

Harleysville, PA

We live in a twin house and have two bradford pairs in the front of our yard and debating on having the one taken down this fall. I would like to get rid of our rail road tyes in the flower bed in front of our house and put landscaping block/brick. Any ideas as far as which color stone/block and what else might look good once we take the tree down at front? Im thinking another tree flower bed idea possible along the driveway as well. Like Redblood japanese maples and kousa dogwood trees..

We have a red crimson japanese maple in the middle of the bed and cherry laurals in the back of the bed. Hoping to keep them.

A tan color would match most anything and look good with the brown driveway.

I think the railroad ties look pretty nice as is IMHO.

before taking apart the beds and the railroad ties, consider staining them a beautiful transparent black. It would "tie" in beautifully..no pun intended!

Less work and cost ---no waste --- and would look great.
