Loquat Trees with Burnt Looking Leaves

Youngsville, LA

I'm assuming this is some sort of fungus, as both my little loquat tress potted on my patio have come down with this over the past month or so. They are both the "grand-kids" so to speak of loquat tree that was in my front yard growing up...so I'd sure like to save them if at all possible! Anyone know what this is, and if so, what to do to remedy the situation?

Background info:

- Located in South Louisiana...zone 8b
- Both trees were from seedlings from a previous tree that was growing in my yard and are currently potted

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Are they sitting in the sun? I'm sure y'all are as hot over there as we are and the radiated heat from bricks will cook plants. If they are in a dark colored pot it's even worse because the sun will heat up the pot and cook the roots so the tree will die from the bottom up (I learned this the hard way). I'd move them into some shade that covers the entire tree plus the pot.

I argee with nature the tempature there might kill the plants

It could be fire blight, which is very common among loquat and its relatives. It can be controlled with fungicide or by pruning the affected branches.

It could also be tip burn, which occurs when it's very hot and causes the tips of the leaves to become burnt. It is not serious and the tree will survive; the burnt leaves should eventually just fall off.
