Oh NO! My precious 3 yr old Paw Paws that I raised from SEED!! They are on my balcony in large pots and were doing FINE until this heat wave came along (ENE exposure - they get the morning sun until around 11 am every day). I spritz them at least once a day and water them at least once a day. ALL the leaves on these two paw paw trees are starting to get brown edges and fall off.
I have OTHER Paw Paw trees that are younger (2 yrs and 1 yr old) are doing just FINE!!
What is happeneing and what can I do to turn this around?!!!
Leaves getting brown edges and falling off my Paw Paw trees!
It may well be from the sunlight they are getting because they are container plants. Look at this link...page 437. It deals with growing Pawpaw seedlings for nursery trade and suggests 28-to51% shade for young trees. They have a problem with UV sensitivity..

MANY thanks! I will temporarily erect some shade with long dowels and some old shirts.
You are too welcome. Hope that link gives you lots of good info and the shade solves the problem.
