redoing the front of the house

I want to redo the front of the house but there are bulbs planted,,,can i saftly dig them up plant the plants i want to then put the bulbs back?

If the bulbs have finished their growth/bloom cycle(spring bloomers) it shouldn't be a problem. If they have yet to bloom (Fall bloomers), moving them now will possibly prevent them from blooming.
