Thank goodness you found puppy love! My 7 year old still can't sleep without her beloved stuffed animal!

Thomaston, CT

Hope you are feeling much better, Bill.....I left my camera at home, so thanks for the photos, everyone! I took the plants out of the car in Maine....I also stopped & bought 3 plants at my friend's farm in NH....they all look great....the balloon flowers & the penstemon are blooming! If Victor doesn't come to an RU, he'll be just a figment of our imaginations....

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

He might actually be a figment of our imaginations!

Nice (different) shots, Jen! I can't tell you how impressed we were with Maddison With Two Ds! Hank and I both have told everyone who will listen what a well-behaved and adorable little lady she is. Her Aunt Kar-Kar was very helpful in entertaining her with the Lincoln Logs, etc.. and she was so cute and so good with Bailey and Carli. I love that shot of her with them and Allison. You should feel very proud of your parenting skills.

Thank you so much for that adorable flower "cup" and saucer. Can you believe I've been using it for 3 different uses since you left. It has held a floating flower that broke off from my barrel; it held Splenda packets for coffee when a neighbor stopped by and Friday night it will hold little chocolates when some of our neighbors come over for dessert and games. At first I thought I'd take it to Florida, but I'm using it here for so many things, that I just don't know now. That was such a nice gift and so much fun to use! Thank you!! :)

I'm still voting for a "Surprise RU" at Victor's pool during the coming heat wave. Just think, Victor, no worry about any prep! We will leave all orange flowers when we leave and they will match your prison garb. I'm just sayin'........

If you are into algae, come on down!

Still trying to clear the pool. Maybe by closing time...

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

We are always trying to get rid of algae here too.. unny just a few minutes ago my husband was asking me to look in the pool and tell him if I saw any. We have a tiny bit but should be easy enough to clear up. Dh says he'll brush it off and put chlorine in it.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Is it because of the weather we've had that the algae is bad this year?

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

We had it worse last year. I think it is caused when the sun is out all day strong and bright. If it's a cloudy and rainy summer you probably wouldn't get it but then you probably wouldn't use the pool either! lol

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

True! :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Mine is from a number of different problems this year. I call the pool Murphy.

Thomaston, CT

I miss my pool, but not the maintenance!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Take mine!

Thomaston, CT

Love to! Have to move my veggie garden, though.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Really Victor, I'll take it...bring it on down!!!

Do you shock it? If they said to put in 1 gallons I would put in 2. Then a martian, the thing that goes round and round.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I vote we all descend on Victor's pool! As long as the water is not too murky....

Karen

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I am in for that!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

me too.. will bring a covered dish too!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee. Something to complement the algae green??

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sure!!

Thomaston, CT

Lime jello! My son just called....he went for a swim in the farm's pool...no one had used it this week because they were in Block Island, & someone left the solar cover on...he said in parts of the pool the water had to be in the 90's...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Mine was 85 today.

Thomaston, CT

I like it about 75....ours always seemed too cold.....
