First time planting tuberoses need tips!

Athens, TX

I had some bulbs that were very old but I planted them anyway just to see... I planted them according to my time zone and nothing happened for the longest time, now I have leaves that are doing very well, but no flowers. I was just wondering how to care for what I have so that maybe I can have flowers next season... I am new to the whole bulb planting thing and need any advice I can get

Typically it takes tuberoses 3 to 4 months to bloom after planting, and they do so in mid to late summer. They are very heavy feeders, requiring regular water and fertilizer. here is a link with some info for you.

The one year I grew them, they bloomed pretty late in the season so you may just need to give them a bit more time.

Thanks for the info... and I will get more fertilizer any recommendations for the best I have just been using miracle grow

Miracle grow is fine. It will provide what the tuberoses need. You are very welcome....good luck, I hope they bloom well for you...the fragrance is delightful.

Your plants may also be slowed down a bit by the drought and heat...

Mmmmm i looooove tuberose! Good luck! The smell will be worth your wait, but in case you're impatient like me, try Michael kores fragrances. :)
