We have three 1 yr. old apple trees that we bought and planted in our front yard. They have taken well to their new 'home' for three months now. Just yesterday, we noticed the smaller of the three has had its two terminal branches' leaves chewed off on either side of the main stalk. None of the other trees have been so affected thank goodness. What could be chewing, eating the leaves, and what non-invasive, organic solution can I use to stop it?
We do not find any bugs on the trees apart from some ants which were sent packing with diatom. earth. Can anyone give me suggestions/help? I'm sorry, I'm not able to give photos to go along with the post.
What's eating my apple tree?
