Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'm not an avid gardener as I don't have the time but I love flowers and did some floristry courses. I have 2 Hoya plants which I got from a company online about 6/7 years ago. Hoya minibelle and Hoya pubicalyx Silver Pink. The Minibelle has gone from strength to strength and always blooms. I've repotted it twice and it's doing really well. The pubicalyx however has never thrived, never flowered and has hardly grown in the 7 years compared to the minibelle. However, since I moved in February and I now keep it on the bathroom windowsill it has sprouted a 1.5m shoot. It just keeps on going!!! It looks a bit silly really with only 20 leaves and a huge shoot. Any advice on why this has happened and what I should do would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hoya Help
I have had a Hoya for about four years now. When i got it it looked like a twig stuck in dirt--only had one leaf on it. Now it has 6 stems trailing down from it. All i can really say for sure is be patient with it! When mine grows a new stem it can take months for the leaves to grow on it!
Hope it grows well for ya!
You could try taking one cutting from the new growth and root it. After it's rooted you can add it back to the pot with the mother plant. Hoya is pretty easy to root and now is the time to do it. I love the smell of the flowers mine puts on. There are simple easy to follow instructions in the site below.

Don't cut the vine. It will produce leaves eventually, It may take a month or more. Go to Hoya Forum. Lots of information for you.
