there ya go.. send out some flyers!!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Could be liability issues, though, if someone were to get injured here. Of course, that is the case with any customers I have wandering around in my gardens, too. Guess maybe I shouldn't worry about it.

Pixie all your shots are beautiful!
Karen thanks, all your shots are gorgeous too! I lost almost all my jacob Cline too, I have a sad 4 blooms out there :( The purples do a lot better for me. I grew them from seeds years ago and I have a few shades of pinks and purples spread around from them.
Victor your shots are awesome and that scary bug is neat, you got a lot of detail on it! :)

My Tropic Sunset DL gave me an unspeckled pretty duo this morning.:)

WOW

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Karen! I invite small groups to come for cookies and soft drinks and to see the garden.
GF is talking about putting me on a tour.
Liability was my first thought, then port-a john.
I am just going to keep it to informal groups.
Then there is the issue of people walking thru the house. I doubt DD an SIL want that.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Beautiful Karen!! I have Ballyhoo too!! It's a very tall hardy DL that is a good bloomer too. I will be dividing mine soon if anyone would like some.
This is it last year.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

you know the mahogany giant & beckwith's are my favs

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks ladies.
Alteri also looks like GardenTreasure,Garden Pleasure,Silk Road, etc. Thats how they look to me,a white out facing lily with a deep pink throat.
Other lilly fans may see subtle differences .

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

The good news is Jo, they are all stunning lilies. :)

Celeste, my Ballyhoo doesn't get very tall, though it's supposed to. Maybe it's not really Ballyhoo, but a look-alike? Hmmm..... It's registered height is 30". I haven't measured mine, but I know it doesn't come anywhere near that height. Love your black and blue basket and the poppy.

Meredith, your Tropic Sunset is looking luscious.

Jo, I love Alteri!

LOVE that black and blue basket

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Celeste, I think your Tino's is as you suspect, but I think your Lilium 'Cocktail Twin' is actually Double Sensation from eflowergarden (or at least that is where I got mine). Mine is blooming but totally looking weird and slightly deformed. Very unusually color. Cocktail twin should be orangey red more like Sphinx.

Quoting:
6 for 6.00 Double Sensation
Size 12/14 cm ~ Height 24" ~ $1.00 each
Lily 'Double Sensation' is unique bi-color Asiatic with semi-double, rosy reddish-purple petals and white centers. This exciting lily will get better and better with maturity.

Boy what a bunch of stunning DL's being posted. I am amazed at that Thalictrum that Karen posted, mine are puny compared to that one.

Victor, nice batch of great shots...especially love your shot of Egyptian Spice.

I need that clematis Silver Moon to bloom for me too. I planted one last year, but it is still sleeping and then next year hopefully creeping and then in 2013, leaping or at least I do hope so and producing some blooms. I should buy bigger ones to begin with to get them sooner.

I got up early yesterday (5ish) and cut flowers to make arrangements for a dear friends house which was on a House tour for the Preservation Trust on Nantucket yesterday. All the other houses had professionally bought huge arrangements done for each room, but despite the hail at 11 the night before which flattened some lilies and the all night of pouring rain that was still coming down at first light as I was out cutting the flowers to use, they turned out nice enough and appropriate for her home. She was happy. I did a big wooden bowl of colorful veggies for the kitchen rather than flowers, but had to buy those as my peppers haven't turned from green yet nor have my tomatoes ripened, so those were store bought. Here are three of the arrangements. I forgot to take pictures of some of the others. Dumb. She was pleased and her house got great comments from the huge number of visitors on the tour, plus for her the price was right. I got a big hug. I was happy to help her get her house ready for this fund raiser as they do good things to encourage people to preserve old properties on the Island, especially the interiors which are often gutted without thought as to their historic importance. The houses on the tour were inspiring and some of the gardens lovely too. Patti

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Thanks all, it was fun doing something with our flowers. I usually just enjoy them outside.

Victor, took another scroll through the recent shots and took a real look at your cabbage moth...stunning shot, but hope you offed it. They do so much damage in the veggie bed. Pretty though.

I am fighting something, sore throat and runny eyes, so staying inside today while DH and house guests are out topping some cedar trees that are blocking our water views. Hate to do it, but the view is worth having. They also took down a ton of climbing vines which were doing major damage to them, so those trees may not like having their heads chopped off, but may enjoy now not being strangled. A trade off. My job was to look out the second floor room and then call them on the cell phone and tell them which branches to chop. You gotta love those cell phones. Property value just went way up! Patti

I took these a couple of days ago, but just got them labeled. Maybe some are wrong, especially DL's. Help if you can Patti

Bold colors and the Hemerocallis Chocolate Passion may be wrong. I can't find a picture or discription of it. It came from Hansen a few years ago. He no longer lists it. Not helpful. Patti
