Desert Rose and Fungicide

Santa Ana, CA

I live in southern California which is assumed to be an ideal place to grow desert roses, but this year the weather has been too humid (especially at nights - sometimes 80%). If I leave my desert roses outside in the porch, next day I notice white patches of powdery mildew on the leaves. So I take them inside every night to prevent this problem.

I've heard that desert roses don't react well to fungicides/ pesticides especially with oily content like Neem oil. What would you recommend to use that could be safe?
Thank you

I think what you are looking for is Bonide sulfur plant fungicide. I have seen it recommended for Adeniums/desert rose plants on a number of sites. Just follow the package directions.

maybe this will help, if you do not want to use a "chemical", I mix 1/2 cup baking soda in a quart spray bottle, then I spray mine keeps the fungus in check. here in Michigan we have a lot of humidity, and this methood really works, I also use to on my roses , black leaf spot etc.
I put mine out for the summer and back in the house for the winter, and the fungus shows up during the worst of the summer rains and heat, we are close to lake Michigan and that raises the humidity too.
