Could be a gun collector, with the right connections he could get a working receiver for a gun or else obtain one from another collector, a machinist into guns could make any missing parts.. Soviet black market is always willing to sell if the buyer shells out enough $, borders are closer over there and can be crossed by auto. A few critical parts welded inside a muffler or dropped in a air filter chamber for engine intake would be all he needed if he was really desperate to get his hands on one. You can get almost anything if you do your homework..

Who knew this person? He was a psycho, just like the one who shot Giffords.....why doesn't anyone get help for these people? Surely, he didn't get that way overnight......

That's what I always say to myself, many of these people are sick, they are not 'bad guys' as we know them. If help can get to them before they snap then maybe some of these attacks/ crimes can be avoided and lives saved in the process. We keep putting these sick people in jail, but we don't take care of the medical & sociological problems we know exist which precipitate this problem in the first place. This will always go on as long as the system ignores those in need of help, these people fall through the 'cracks' and resurface once the problem is out of control and the damage is already done..

Part of the problem is that even today, mental illness does not get the proper attention. Not regarded the same way as other illness. Stigma, prejudice, etc.

Some good news as the death toll from the youth camp has been lowered to 68. I am stunned that the max this guy faces is 21 years in prison.

If he was seriously insane, he wouldn't care if the sentence was 300 years...if the authorities are smart, they will hold him for psychiatric observation "forever."

Don't worry, they'll probably give him time off for good behavior!

Today was my daughter's first trip to the dentist, she did great!

Dentist tomorrow oh crud. Fixing my broken filling. I will be out of commission for the day. These composites they put in hurt worse then the old silver colored fillings ever did.

Destist tomorrow morning for me as well. Nothing hurts, he just saw some decay on an x-ray. Getting it before it hurts? He knows to use novicane.

Seems like last week that we were going crazy over that Dec 26 storm!

Yeah, I'm still thinking how cold it was with all that snow blowing in my face and my arms aching from shoveling! It was like four feet high.. hard to see around the corner while driving. lol! - Now we're getting weather extremes..

My deer nightmare was real. They weren't happy enough to eat 276 leaves (yes, I counted as I cut them off) of my plantaginea hosta yesterday morning. We blocked all paths with chairs, fencing, etc. and yet they returned to do more damage. It must be their favorite hosta of all though Stained Glass (or what remains of it) is their second favorite.

Took this yesterday. Bet you can't wait until I take a shot of what they did last night!

Get a Rent-a-dog for a week or 2
